Jolene Morell ~ Dance Teacher

Jolene began dancing at the age of 2 at Tempe Dance Academy in Tempe. She specializes in jazz, funky hip hop, tumbling and pom&cheer. She received her training from instructors such as Wanda Manville, Wendy Manville-Baker, Jeanne Wright, and Julie Renn.

Jolene attended Corona del Sol High School where she was on the Cheerleading squad and danced with the CDS Dance Company for 4 years. After that, she danced in Vegas for an on going country show. She then traveled to Toronto, Canada to perform for the World Games-NBA exhibition Games with the Phoenix Suns Dance team. Jolene also danced with the Arizona Rattlers for 9 years. Jolene was captain and choreographer for the team. She also participated and danced in the Arena Bowl. Jolene also danced for a group called Showstoppers that traveled and performed for functions all over the valley, as well as teaching at several dance studios in the valley. She loves to teach all ages specializing with the older students(competition teams).

Jolene graduated from Arizona State University with a Major in Business and Sociology in 2000. She was married in 2002 and she has two beautiful children Logan 7 years old and Aspyn 6 years old. She owns her own business that she runs during the day.

I want my students to love dancing and leave with confidence but always eager to learn more. Building a bond between the student and teacher is due to creating strong relationships by impressing upon them, that hard work, dedication, and a positive attitude need to be the foundation of a great dancer.
